Lifting and Drilling Equipment Certification
Axess is one of the leading inspection companies for the Norwegian offshore and process industry. We have framework contracts with the largest drilling contractors in the North Sea for annual survey and recertification of offshore cranes, lifting appliances and drilling equipment.
Axess has several Norwegian Maritime Directorate (NMD) authorized competent persons1 for offshore cranes and lifting appliances. Our company is an approved Enterprise of Competence (sakkyndig virksomhet) with respect to the survey and inspection of lifting appliances in areas governed by the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority and NMD.
1 A competent person is a person authorized by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate to carry out design/construction, calculations, inspection, testing and certification of deck cranes on mobile offshore units or components thereof. (Section 8 of the Norwegian Regulation 4 July 2007 No. 854 concerning deck cranes, etc. on mobile offshore units)
